My S200 recently developed problems. After researching the Canon web site, I found that there has been a problem related to a Sony chip that was used in many camera brands, not only Canon. I emailed Canon and they asked me to send it to the factory. Eight days later I had my camera back, repaired at no charge! This is customer service like I rarely see these days! Their communication was great through the entire process. I will look for the Canon brand in the future!
